Guard: "Why are you in here?"
Jeff: "I'm really trying to maintain a friendship here."
Brent: "It's okay. We don't usually overcook our vegetables."
Gosh. I can think of one thing that you said to me a long, long time back when I was having a particularly hard evening. "You just have to forgive yourself like you would an old friend." Never forgot that advice.

ReplyDeleteI walked into a party at Jere's house one evening and I said, "It smells like cloves in here." You sat there on the floor with your black hair and porcelain skin, smoking a clove and you said, "Funny thing about clove cigarettes... they smell like cloves." We all thought that was hysterical.
